In accordance with Chapter II Item O of the new edition of Foreign Air Carrier Model Security Program issued by TSA, on Air China operated US-bound flights check-in may not commence more than 24 hours prior to the planned departure of the flight; In accordance with the requirements in Chapter II Item S, if the passenger is transferring from another airline onto an Air China flight bound for the US with a planned connection time of over 12 hours, and even if the check-in time for the previous flight is within 24 hours of the check-in time for the US-bound Air China operated flight, Air China may not check the passenger through to the destination.

Therefore, Air China plans to adjust check-in times for the US-bound flights, among which:
1. On Air China operated US-bound flights, online and APP check-in will now start 23 hours before the flight.
2. Passengers connecting onto the US-bound flights operated by Air China whose connection time between flights is longer than 12 hours cannot be checked-through to the destination.

Changes in Air China's network and capacity mean that we are adjusting the structure of some international flights. The decision has been made to suspend the operation of Shanghai-Sydney-Shanghai, Shanghai-Melbourne-Shanghai routes from March 31, 2019. Details: The last flight from Shanghai Pudong to Sydney will be on March 28, 2019; the last flight from Sydney to Shanghai Pudong will be on March 29, 2019; the last flight from Shanghai Pudong to Melbourne will be on March 29, 2019; and the last flight from Melbourne to Shanghai Pudong will be on March 30, 2019.
Air China apologizes for any disruption to passengers' travel plans as a result of the suspension of these two routes. We will be actively rescheduling and completing follow-up procedures for passengers who have already purchased tickets for these flights. Reschedules or full refunds will be available for passengers who have purchased tickets from Shanghai to Melbourne or Sydney and return flights for dates after March 31, 2019. Passengers can contact the Air China Service Hotline (95583) or change their ticket via an Air China agent. Passengers are advised to check their flight via the Air China website or app and make necessary arrangements.

The qualification threshold may vary from year to year, and we will inform you as soon as possible if there are any changes. For 2019 and 2020, you must have flown 300.000 or more miles on Air China in order to pass the review. Please pay attention to the miles in your account and to the various details regarding the usage of benefits. You can also log into the PhoenixMiles website to view your account information. On the PhoenixMiles website and the Air China app we provide a special service area for Premium Lifetime Platinum Card members, which only you can view when logged in.
Note: After becoming a Premium Lifetime Platinum Card member, the services described above will only be applicable as indicated and through the appropriate channels. Other non-mentioned services, including (but not limited to) purchasing tickets, exchanging awards, check-in procedures etc., will be handled in accordance with the services provided to Lifetime Platinum card holders.

Due to renovation of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport T1 terminal building, part of the Air China's First Class lounge will be enclosed and furnished from 0:00, December 11th, 2018. The construction period is estimated to last 100 days, during which you can find the lounge 30 meters on the right side of the security checkpoint in Area B.
